Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hart comes to the cage accompanied by Vertigo - U2. Palmer has chosen Not Now James,we're busy as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palmer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hart is trying to defend but Palmer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Palmer connects with a nice short shot to Hart's temple.
Hart is refusing to be controlled, as Palmer sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palmer wants to pass the guard but Hart is defending well.

Palmer seems to be working for a kimura but Hart defends the submission attempt.

Hart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Palmer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hart connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Palmer scrambles back to his feet.

Palmer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hart but Hart pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Palmer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Palmer shoots for a double leg takedown but Hart sprawls well. He's pushed Palmer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palmer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hart tries to avoid it but Palmer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hart to the ground. Hart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Palmer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hart fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Palmer on the side of the head.

Hart lands a big uppercut and Palmer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Palmer looks OK. Hart waves Palmer back to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hart gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hart cracks Palmer with a left hook right on the temple and Palmer goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Hart lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Palmer is OK!
