The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Mccoy.
Mccoy throws a jab when Piternieks was well out of range.
Piternieks misses with a takedown
and Mccoy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A shot to the liver by Mccoy. Beautiful body shot.
Piternieks doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Mccoy to counter with a crisp jab.
Piternieks gets caught napping as Mccoy dives in and scores a takedown. Piternieks manages to retain guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mccoy throws an elbow that misses. Piternieks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mccoy's guard. Nice move by Piternieks!
Piternieks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Piternieks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mccoy working for a triangle but Piternieks defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mccoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Piternieks is one step ahead there.

Mccoy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Piternieks manages to get himself to full guard.
Mccoy stands up and waves to Piternieks to follow him.
Mccoy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mccoy wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Janis Piternieks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mccoy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Piternieks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Piternieks is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mccoy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Piternieks is looking to defend but Mccoy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Piternieks! Mccoy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Piternieks taps out and this one is all over!
