Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Mican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pansen shoots in but Mican avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mican looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Mican won't allow Pansen to sweep him here.
Mican wants to control from the top but Pansen keeps moving.
Pansen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mican's guard.

Mican escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pansen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pansen wants to control from the top but Mican keeps moving.
Mican has his foot on Pansen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pansen works his way back into a safe position though.

Mican wants to stand but Pansen is controlling the position.

Pansen decides to return to a standing position.
Mican keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pansen fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Pansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mican changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pansen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pansen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pansen.
Pansen wants to stand up but Mican is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pansen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mican manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pansen wants to control from the top but Mican keeps moving.
Pansen wants to get up but he can't break Mican's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mican working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pansen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pansen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mican can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pansen blocks the strikes from Mican.
Pansen stands up and beckons Mican to join him on the feet.
Mican shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pansen as he avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pansen moves into the clinch.
Pansen jumps guard and drags Mican to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mican really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Pansen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mican is defended easily by Pansen.

Pansen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mican sprawls well. Mican wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pansen gets slowly back to his feet.
Pansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pansen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mican is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pansen swings wildly with an uppercut but Mican uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mican has Pansen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pansen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mican misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pansen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mican up against the cage.

Pansen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Come on Pansen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Mican wants to take the fight to the mat but Pansen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Pansen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
