Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taco Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Lonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lonzo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Grande throws a head punch that misses.
Still in the clinch, Grande scores with a nice short uppercut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Grande throws an elbow but misses.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lonzo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Grande tries to close the distance and clinch but Lonzo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lonzo shoots for a double leg takedown but Grande sprawls well. He's pushed Lonzo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lonzo keeps the fight on the outside.
Lonzo tries for a takedown but Grande sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Grande is trying to maintain the position but Lonzo is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grande is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lonzo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Grande is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lonzo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lonzo's back!

Grande is trying to stick to Lonzo's back but Lonzo is turning into Grande. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Grande's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lonzo.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
