Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Inigo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and QL Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montoya comes to the cage accompanied by Reptile Theme by Skrillex. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya scores with a jab to the jaw.
Montoya lands a body shot.
Hicks staying out of range there.
Montoya misses the shot to the body.
Hicks avoids the head kick by Montoya.
A thudding body kick lands there by Montoya!
Hicks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Montoya throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hicks.
Montoya dodges the punch combination from Hicks.
Montoya throws a low kick but Hicks moves out of range easily.
Montoya takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Montoya fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hicks, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Montoya lands a left hand.
Hicks goes for a takedown attempt but Montoya pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Montoya connects with a right hand. Hicks shakes it off.

Montoya throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Montoya keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hicks.
Montoya takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Montoya scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hicks doesn't seem bothered though.
Hicks takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Both fighters circling a little - Montoya finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Montoya fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hicks has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hicks throws out a loose jab but Montoya uses good head movement to avoid it.
Montoya takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hicks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Montoya throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hicks.
Hicks walks forward, straight into a front kick from Montoya.
Hicks looks gassed!
Montoya throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hicks sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Montoya lands with a nice combination. Hicks backs away looking to recover.

Montoya scores with a leg kick.
Hicks takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hicks looks to land a right hand but Montoya moved out of range.
Montoya is looking to slow Hicks down with leg kicks.
Montoya misses with a few strikes there.
Hicks ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Montoya throws a leg kick which misses Hicks's front leg but catches the back leg as Hicks tries to avoid it.
Montoya looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for Montoya.
Hicks throws a leg kick but Montoya sees it coming and checks it nicely.
An inside leg kick lands from Montoya.
A jab from Montoya does it's job there.
Hicks misses with a two punch combination.
Montoya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Montoya is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Montoya thuds his shin into the meat of Hicks's side.

A nice leg kick lands there from Montoya.
Hicks on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hicks's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Montoya delivers a nice body kick.
Inigo Montoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montoya thuds his right hand into Hicks's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Montoya turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Montoya throws a sloppy head kick and Hicks moves out of range easily.
Hicks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Montoya tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Montoya lands a really nice looking cross but Hicks seems unphased.

Hicks takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Montoya feints and then cracks Hicks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hicks down.
Montoya lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hicks takes a step back to recover.
Montoya lands a head kick. Hicks smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hicks is still on wobbly legs! Can Montoya finish him?

Hicks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Montoya can pounce on him.
Hicks takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hicks seems to have recovered his senses.
Montoya scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hicks in his tracks.
Montoya keeps Hicks at a distance using the push kick.

Montoya is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Montoya lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Hicks is looking to close the distance but Montoya sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Hicks crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Hicks is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
