Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Irwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irwin has chosen AC/DC - T.N.T as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simo Silakka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Irwin!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin tries a low kick but Silakka avoids it.
Irwin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silakka is able to avoid easily.
Irwin is looking to score with low kicks.
Irwin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Irwin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Silakka checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Irwin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silakka manages to avoid it.
Irwin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Silakka lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silakka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silakka tries a head kick but it misses.
Irwin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Silakka thuds his right hand into Irwin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Silakka throws a right and a left that Irwin avoids nicely.
Irwin tries to bum rush Silakka with a series of wild strikes but Silakka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Irwin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Irwin throws a right and a left that Silakka avoids nicely.
Silakka throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Irwin's head.
Irwin misses with a two punch combination.
Irwin lands a nice looking body shot.
Irwin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Silakka slips a jab from Irwin.
Irwin throws a nice looking combination but Silakka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silakka avoids the head kick by Irwin.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Irwin.
Irwin misses with a body shot.
Irwin keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A lazy left from Irwin finds it's target.
Silakka misses with an uppercut. Irwin saw that one coming.
Silakka misses with a hook. Irwin ducked under it nicely.
Irwin throws a shot from downtown. Silakka moves away and avoids it.
Irwin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silakka can pounce on him.
Irwin looks to score with a jab to the body but Silakka is just out of range.
Irwin throws an off balance right hand
and Silakka counters with an outside leg kick.
Silakka tries to clinch but Irwin is having none of it.
Silakka throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Irwin on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silakka moves out of range of the strikes.
Silakka scores with a leg kick.
Irwin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Irwin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Irwin misses with a low kick.
Silakka connects with an inside leg kick.
Irwin looks gassed!

Silakka closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silakka lands in his opponent's guard.
Irwin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Silakka dives into side control.
Irwin tries to improve position but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silakka is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Silakka has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Irwin holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silakka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silakka fails with a takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Some bone on bone action there as Irwin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Silakka misses with a low kick.
Irwin lands a jab to the nose.
Irwin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paul Irwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Irwin wobbles Silakka with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Irwin dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Silakka to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paul Irwin!
Our winner, Paul Irwin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
