Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dalton McKay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myron Obusan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obusan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Frontlines by Diabolic feat. Immortal Technique. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton McKay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Myron Obusan!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for McKay with that takedown attempt.
Obusan misses with a series of wild punches.
Obusan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Obusan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McKay checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
McKay is looking to clinch but Obusan is avoiding it.
Obusan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McKay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McKay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Obusan counters with a good low kick that McKay was not able to check.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dalton McKay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McKay wants to clinch.
Obusan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Obusan lands the left hand.

McKay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Obusan counters with a nice leg kick.

Obusan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McKay on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Obusan throws a wild body kick that McKay sees coming a mile off.
McKay takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Obusan lands with an uppercut that bounces McKay off the cage and back into range.
Obusan leaves McKay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Obusan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Obusan thumps McKay with a low kick.
Obusan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McKay. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Obusan connects with a leg kick. McKay looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Obusan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myron Obusan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Obusan counters with a crisp one two that drops McKay! Obusan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McKay to his feet! McKay is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Obusan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McKay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Obusan counters with an inside leg kick.
Obusan leaves McKay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Obusan lands an overhand right.
McKay is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

McKay tries for a takedown but Obusan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Obusan counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Dalton McKay has been cut.
McKay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Obusan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McKay somewhat.
Obusan lands a leg kick that knocks McKay off balance momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McKay fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Obusan avoids it really well and circles away.
Dalton McKay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obusan tries to bum rush McKay with a series of wild strikes but McKay uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Obusan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Obusan wants it to stay on the feet.
McKay shoots in and drives through. Obusan sprawls well.

McKay fails with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Obusan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McKay shoots for a double leg takedown but Obusan sprawls well. He's pushed McKay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McKay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McKay shoots in looking for a takedown but Obusan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McKay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Obusan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
McKay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Obusan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
McKay on the wrong end of a nice hook.

and Obusan counters with a slapping leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myron Obusan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Dalton McKay's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

McKay takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Obusan scores with a counter punch that sends McKay to the canvas! Obusan smells blood - he's punishing McKay with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! McKay has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
