The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Commando shoots in looking for a takedown but Fairtex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Commando's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fairtex throws a lazy body kick

and Commando counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Commando frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fairtex tries to hold on but Commando postures up.
Commando working Fairtex over with strikes here.
Fairtex is looking to improve his position but Commando isn't that keen on the idea.
Fairtex tries to control the position but Commando now has his back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fairtex grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Fairtex trying to get back to his feet but Commando is in full control for now.

Fairtex tries to escape the position.
Fairtex really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Commando. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Commando is cranking Fairtex's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Fairtex! He's tightened the choke and Fairtex is tapping out!
