PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kjell Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maestre Hulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pipes & Drums 1st Battalion Scots Guards. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillon misses with a hook. Hulk ducked under it nicely.
Dillon throws a hook to the side of Hulk's head but Hulk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hulk looks to land a left hand but Dillon moved out of range nicely.
Dillon defending well as Hulk loads up on a big left hand.
Dillon looks to score with a jab to the body but Hulk is just out of range.
Hulk ducks under a wild hook from Dillon.
Dillon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Maestre Hulk has been cut.
Hulk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dillon misses with a lunging right hand
and Hulk counters with a one-two to the body.
Hulk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dillon misses the shot to the body.
Dillon misses with a hook. Hulk ducked under it nicely.
Hulk moves out of range as Dillon strikes.

Dillon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hulk.
Dillon misses with an uppercut. Hulk saw that one coming.
Dillon scores with a kick to the body.
Dillon missing with a left hand there. Hulk was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dillon slaps away a takedown attempt from Hulk, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hulk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dillon finds it's way round the side to connect with Hulk's head.
No joy there for Dillon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hulk throws a big shot that misses.
Hulk blocks a jab.

Hulk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dillon's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hulk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dillon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Dillon looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hulk trying to control but Dillon is working from the bottom.
Hulk postures up.
Dillon is looking to stand up but Hulk isn't so interested in that idea.
Hulk throwing strikes from guard but Dillon blocks nicely.
Hulk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hulk trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Dillon.

Horrible takedown by Hulk or perhaps it was just good defense by Dillon which made him look bad.
Dillon misses with a wild body shot.
Hulk lands a jab to the nose.
Dillon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hulk.
Hulk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That has opened up Maestre Hulk's cut even more.
Hulk looks to throw the jab but Dillon is out of range.
Dillon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hulk.
Kjell Dillon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maestre Hulk.
Dillon connects with a right hand. Hulk shakes it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice defenses there by Hulk.

Dillon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

The cut above Maestre Hulk's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Dillon throws a good cross that connects.

Maestre Hulk's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Dillon connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Hulk tumbling to the canvas! Dillon pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Hulk was done - good stoppage!

In his post fight interview, Kjell Dillon started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
