Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Philipp Kran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Galetlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Philipp Kran has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Philipp Kran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Galetlo!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galetlo shoots in for a takedown but Kran shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnny Galetlo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kran looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Kran clinches with his opponent.
Galetlo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kran avoids it.
Galetlo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Galetlo working hard to break the clinch.
Galetlo looking to throw knees to the head but Kran is blocking nicely.
Kran is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kran gets underhooks to prevent Galetlo's takedown attempt.
Galetlo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Galetlo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Galetlo keeps the fight on the outside.
Galetlo fails to land the takedown.
Philipp Kran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Galetlo.

Galetlo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Galetlo lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Galetlo wants to control from the top but Kran keeps moving.
Galetlo passes into half guard.
Kran tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Galetlo is thwarting Kran's attempts to control the position.

Galetlo is working for a kimura but Kran is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Galetlo wants to work for an arm triangle but Kran is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Galetlo is keen to just control but Kran is a slippery customer.
Kran tries to get to full guard but Galetlo has control of the leg.

Galetlo is trying to control. Kran wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Galetlo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Galetlo lands strikes from half guard.

Galetlo is working for a kimura here but Kran manages to reverse the position and he's now in Galetlo's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kran postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kran working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Galetlo is looking for a triangle but Kran pushes his legs off easily.

Galetlo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kran drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kran jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kran being controlled here momentarily.
Kran throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Galetlo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kran loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kran trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Galetlo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kran is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kran throwing strikes but missing.
Galetlo trying to keep a closed guard but Kran is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Galetlo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Kran gets a clinch.
Galetlo stalling in the clinch but Kran improves position.
Galetlo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Galetlo is trying to break the clinch but Kran is controlling him.

Kran manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Galetlo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kran manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Galetlo has Kran in his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kran is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Galetlo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kran defends it easily.
Galetlo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kran avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kran throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Galetlo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kran drops back looking for a leg! Galetlo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Galetlo manages to kick Kran off! Kran jumps back into Galetlo's guard.

Galetlo is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kran gets underhooks to prevent Galetlo's takedown attempt.
A frustrated look appears on Galetlo's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kran works on Galetlo's body with a couple of short punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kran gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kran not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Galetlo has one foot on Kran's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Galetlo shoots in looking for a takedown but Kran manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Galetlo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Philipp Kran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Galetlo.

Galetlo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Galetlo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kran closes the distance and clinches.
Galetlo wants to break free but Kran has control.
The referee calls for Kran to work.
Kran makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kran wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kran gets control of Galetlo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kran will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kran looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Galetlo has picked Kran up and slammed him! Kran can't keep hold of the triangle and Galetlo manages to pass to side control!

Galetlo has hold of Kran's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kran seems comfortable defending it but Galetlo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kran is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kran is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Galetlo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
