Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mawashi Geri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi looks for the body kick but Geri saw that one coming.
Yi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Geri sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Geri tries to clinch but Yi is having none of it.
Yi misses with a few strikes there.
Geri fails with an attempt to clinch.
Geri is looking to clinch but Yi is avoiding it.
Geri tries to clinch there but Yi circles away.
Geri misses with a takedown attempt - Yi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Geri tries to keep at a distance but Yi has taken the fight into the clinch.

Geri tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Yi's elbow.

Geri shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Yi drives through and clinches with Geri against the cage.
Geri tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Yi avoids it.

Geri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Geri closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Yi's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Yi pulls Geri in to control the position.

Geri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yi is trying to control the position but Geri postures up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Master Yi wasn't active enough on the ground.

Geri gets tackled into the cage by Yi. Yi maintains the clinch.
Yi blocks the elbow strike.
Yi tries to break the clinch but Geri is controlling the position.
Yi prevents a body shot from Geri.
A frustrated look appears on Yi's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yi closes the distance and clinches up with Geri, looking for a takedown. Yi pushes Geri against the cage but Geri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yi drives through and clinches with Geri against the cage.
Geri misses with a knee strike.
Geri crunches a lovely knee into Yi's ribcage.
Geri with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Yi looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Yi wants to break free but Geri has control.
Yi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Geri avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Geri landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Geri has picked Yi up - he's going for a ride! Geri dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Geri is looking for a kimura here.
Geri seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
