The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mak throws a lazy right hand but Austin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mak works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mak throws a hook but Austin avoids it easily.
Steve Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Austin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mak.
Austin with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Mak to counter with a crisp jab.
Austin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Austin slips a nice elbow through Mak's hands, connecting with Mak's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Austin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Austin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Austin's back!
Mak connects with a big shot to the side of Austin's head.

Austin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mak's guard. Nice work there by Austin.

Mak has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Austin doesn't defend quickly enough and Mak has managed to lock this one up! Can Austin escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mak on a fantastic submission victory.
