Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Sutherland!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland looks to score with a jab to the body but Domingues is just out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sutherland.
Domingues tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sutherland manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sutherland throws a series of strikes that have Domingues backpedaling.
Domingues shoots for a double leg takedown but Sutherland sprawls well. He's pushed Domingues's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Paul Sutherland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sutherland fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Domingues fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sutherland, pushing him back against the cage.
Domingues is trying to pull guard but Sutherland turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Domingues tries for a kimura but Sutherland is defending well.

Sutherland managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Domingues.
Domingues tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sutherland's legs.

Domingues is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sutherland is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sutherland manages to work his way to half guard, despite Domingues's best efforts.

Domingues is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sutherland defends it well.

Domingues is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sutherland sees it coming and defends easily.
Sutherland is staying active underneath Domingues, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sutherland is trying to maintain the position but Domingues is very close to passing his half guard.
Domingues wants to free his trapped foot but Sutherland is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sutherland moves into full guard.
Domingues trying to control but Sutherland is working from the bottom.
Domingues working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Domingues stands and throws Sutherland's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sutherland is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Sutherland sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Domingues seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sutherland does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Domingues is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sutherland is looking for a sweep. Domingues is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Domingues will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sutherland tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sutherland. Domingues does a little dance to reset his feet.

Domingues misses with a series of wild punches.
Sutherland misses with a combination
enabling Domingues to counter with a crisp jab.
Sutherland lands a nice shot that snaps Domingues's head back.
Domingues walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sutherland.
Sutherland goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Sutherland works Domingues's body with a nice hook.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Sutherland counters with a nice low kick that buckles Domingues's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Domingues. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Domingues tries to keep at a distance but Sutherland has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sutherland gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Sutherland lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Sutherland lands a right hand.
Domingues tries to score a body lock takedown but Sutherland shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sutherland is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Sutherland pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sutherland throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sutherland scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Domingues looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Domingues lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sutherland circles away quickly and effectively.

Sutherland jabs Domingues to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Domingues pushes Sutherland up against the cage in a clinch.
Sutherland digs a right hand underneath Domingues's ribcage. Domingues let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Domingues takes an elbow to the temple.

Sutherland breaks the clinch.
Domingues takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Sutherland counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Domingues! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Sutherland!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Sutherland!
