Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Big Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Florian Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Mayer. Those never looked like landing.
Mayer fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bob is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Mayer as Bob shoots in.

and Bob counters with an inside leg kick.
Mayer shoots in for a takedown but Bob shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mayer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bob but Bob pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mayer darts in and clinches Bob up against the cage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bob changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bob is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mayer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bob goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mayer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bob's guard! Nice work there by Mayer!

Bob gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Mayer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bob crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mayer - the referee stops the clock and Bob gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mayer. Bob manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
