PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Storm Garp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garp comes to the cage accompanied by Rammstein- Liebe ist für alle da. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Storm Garp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spencer Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Garp was covering up waiting for the punch and Fisher finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Garp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fisher defends well.

Fisher can't keep his opponent in guard - Garp advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fisher keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Fisher is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garp stops Fisher from getting back to his feet.
Garp is looking to take a break and control but Fisher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fisher wants to improve his position but Garp is controlling well.

Fisher has a closed guard, preventing Garp from standing up.

Garp got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fisher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garp has managed to get both his arms back between Fisher's legs - danger averted.

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spencer Fisher dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Garp tests Fisher's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Spencer Fisher has been cut.
Donk. Garp catches Fisher right on the button with a cross.
Fisher takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Garp lands a jab to the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fisher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Garp drops Fisher with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fisher looks back up at him and smiles so Garp waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Fisher is rocked!


That has opened up Spencer Fisher's cut even more.
No joy there for Fisher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fisher looks for a takedown but Garp sprawls well.
Garp takes a swing at Fisher's ribcage but misses.
Garp walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Fisher drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Garp swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Fisher's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Storm Garp!
