The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a nice looking combination but Morgan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burns moves out of range of the leg kick from Morgan.
Jeff Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan throws a front kick aimed at Burns's knee but Burns avoids it well.
Burns throws a leg kick but Morgan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Morgan is looking to land body kicks.
Morgan blocks a head kick by Burns.
Burns attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Burns is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Burns trying to hold on to Morgan's head to control him but Morgan postures up.
Burns works his way to full guard. Good work.
Morgan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burns on the ground.

Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morgan defends it easily.

Burns tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Morgan passes into half guard.
Morgan trying to control the action but Burns is working from the bottom.
Morgan wants to free his trapped foot but Burns is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Burns gets full guard.

Burns keeping moving, preventing Morgan from controlling successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burns can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Terrence Morgan wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Burns tries a head kick but it misses.
Morgan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Burns pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burns swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morgan throws a sloppy head kick and Burns moves out of range easily.
Morgan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Morgan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Burns did well to prevent Morgan getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Burns is looking for a sweep. Morgan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
