Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sick Puppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horatio Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacobs has chosen Guns In the Sky - INXS as his entrance music. Horatio Jacobs will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sick Puppy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horatio Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puppy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs avoids it really well and circles away.
Jacobs pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jacobs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Puppy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Puppy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jacobs is fending him off so far but Puppy persists. Nope, Jacobs circles away and we're back to standing.
Puppy shoots and misses
and Jacobs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jacobs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Some bone on bone action there as Puppy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Puppy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jacobs tries to avoid it but Puppy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jacobs to the ground. Jacobs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jacobs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Puppy wants to clinch
and Jacobs counters with a stiff right hand.

Puppy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jacobs napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Puppy is looking for a kimura but Jacobs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Puppy to get the leverage.

Puppy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jacobs defends well.
Jacobs wants to pass the guard but Puppy is keeping the position.

Puppy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Puppy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jacobs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jacobs postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jacobs works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Puppy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jacobs pulls his head out easily.
Puppy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jacobs uses his free foot to push down on Puppy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Puppy.
Jacobs fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Jacobs postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Puppy looks a forlorn figure.

Jacobs lands a big shot there that rocks Puppy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Jacobs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Puppy's head backwards.

Jacobs slaps away a takedown attempt from Puppy, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Puppy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Puppy dives in and grabs Jacobs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes down on Puppy's head and hops out.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Puppy checks a leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jacobs.
Jacobs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Puppy shoots in looking for a takedown but Jacobs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Puppy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Puppy takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Puppy shoots in for a double leg but Jacobs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jacobs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jacobs stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jacobs darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Oh Puppy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Horatio Jacobs seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Puppy fails with the takedown.
Puppy seems to have got his legs back now.
Puppy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Puppy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jacobs tests Puppy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jacobs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Puppy on the side of the head.
Puppy gets cracked there but stands up to it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jacobs lands a brutal head kick. Puppy looks out on his feet and Jacobs throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
