Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mink Furer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Levesque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mink Furer has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mink Furer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levesque loads up on a big right hand but Furer slips the punch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Levesque.
Decent striking displayed by Levesque there.
Furer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Levesque tries to avoid it but Furer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Levesque to the ground. Levesque escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Levesque throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Furer's waist but Furer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Levesque off to one side.
Jacques Levesque seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Levesque rushes Furer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Furer has Levesque pressed against the cage, preventing Levesque from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Levesque misses with some punches.
Furer has Levesque pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Levesque manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Furer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Furer manages to end up in side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Levesque tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Furer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Levesque can't do much from the bottom here.

Furer throws a strike aimed at the side of Levesque's head but Levesque avoids it well.
Levesque really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Furer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Levesque on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Levesque tries to bench press Furer off him but Furer keeps the position.
The ground and pound from Furer seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Furer is working Levesque over with some ground and pound from side control.
Levesque is trying to control Furer's posture but Furer avoids it.
Levesque is working to avoid the ground and pound but Furer connects with a decent elbow.
Furer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Levesque can't do much from the bottom here.
Furer throws an elbow but Levesque slips to the side and avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Levesque pushes Furer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Furer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Furer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Levesque keeps working.
Levesque manages to work his way to half guard, despite Furer's best efforts.
Levesque is trying to stand.
Furer is looking for a kimura but Levesque is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Furer to get the leverage.
Levesque on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Furer prevents Levesque from improving his position.
Levesque is not content to let Furer control the position.
Furer winds up and cracks Levesque with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Levesque is looking to improve his position.
Furer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Levesque is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Furer jumps into side control!
Levesque wants to control but Furer postures up.

Furer passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Levesque!
Furer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Levesque looks a forlorn figure.
Levesque is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Furer avoids the attempt from Levesque to control.
BOOM! Furer connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Levesque wants to control but Furer is having none of it.
Furer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Furer lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Levesque hang on?
Furer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Levesque's face.
Levesque is rocked!

Levesque is still in real trouble! Can Furer finish him?
Levesque is working to get back to half guard.
Furer drops a big elbow. That's hurt Levesque! More shots from Furer and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
