Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steve Blackwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phil Davis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis looks for a takedown but Blackwood sprawls well.
Davis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blackwood pinned against the cage. Blackwood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Phil Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Blackwood which made him look bad.
Steve Blackwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Davis.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but Blackwood shows good takedown defense.
Blackwood throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Blackwood.
Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Blackwood wants to stand up but Davis is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blackwood keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Blackwood has wrist control.
Davis won't allow Blackwood to get back to his feet.
Davis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Blackwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.
Davis wants to control from the top but Blackwood keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Phil Davis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Davis has a takedown stuffed.
Davis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Blackwood counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Davis looks gassed!
Davis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Phil Davis has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis ducks under a wild hook from Blackwood.
Steve Blackwood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A swing and a miss from Blackwood.
Davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown. Blackwood tries to sprawl out of it but Davis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blackwood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackwood fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Blackwood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis throws a head kick but Blackwood moves out of range.
Davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blackwood is fending him off so far but Davis persists. Nope, Blackwood circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackwood feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Davis sprawling to the canvas! Davis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Blackwood finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blackwood looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davis loses concentration momentarily and Blackwood pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Davis crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Blackwood finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Steve Blackwood!
