Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vik Kiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaethra Helarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaethra Helarr looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiv misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Helarr has taken the fight to the clinch.

Helarr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kiv uses from the top position.

Vaethra Helarr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helarr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kiv.

and Kiv counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Helarr tries to clinch there but Kiv circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiv wants to control but Helarr is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kiv throws a series of punches but Helarr avoids them all with ease.
Kiv moves in looking to clinch but Helarr pushes him off.

Kiv throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Some bone on bone action there as Helarr checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kiv fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kiv paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Helarr is rocked!
Kiv really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Helarr loses concentration momentarily and Kiv pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Helarr crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Kiv finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
