Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Dam Kogus!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kogus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kogus misses with a double jab

and Ross counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Ross manages to break the clinch.
Ross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ross gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ross pulls guard effortlessly.
Ross wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kogus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kogus wants to get up but he can't break Ross's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ross wants to stand and escape but Kogus is having none of it.
Kogus is looking to stand up but Ross won't let him.
Kogus is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kogus pushing down on Ross's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ross is trying to stand.

Kogus is looking for a kimura here.
Ross tries to get to full guard but Kogus has control of the leg.
Kogus scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Kogus is working for a kimura but Ross is defending it quite comfortably.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kogus wants to stand up but Ross has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Ross tries to get to full guard but Kogus has control of the leg.

Kogus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kogus has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ross defend it? Kogus steps over the head and cranks it - Ross is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kogus!
