The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maylan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Maylan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bon Peza manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Maylan misses with a head shot. Bon Peza uses the momentum to regain guard.
Maylan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Maylan wants to stand but Bon Peza is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bon Peza is trying to control the position but Maylan postures up.
Maylan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bon Peza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bon Peza bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maylan's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bon Peza connects with a nice short shot to Maylan's temple.

Bon Peza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maylan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Maylan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Maylan is looking to improve his position but Bon Peza isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maylan turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bon Peza off and cradles Maylan's limp body as Bon Peza celebrates with his corner.
