Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Dumano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damian Dumano acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Sean Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Dumano!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumano closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.
Dumano shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Dumano tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Dumano can't escape the position.
Dumano tries to control Gracie's body but Gracie pushes him off. Dumano squirms to his side and now Gracie has his back!
Gracie controlling well, preventing Dumano from escaping the position.

Gracie has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Dumano tries to escape the position.
Dumano looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dumano is really stuck here.
Dumano is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gracie is trying to stick to Dumano's back but Dumano is turning into Gracie. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gracie's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dumano.
Gracie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dumano wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Gracie is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Dumano has clasped his hands together around Gracie's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Dumano thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dumano working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Dumano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dumano tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Dumano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dumano drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracie!

Dumano tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dumano sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Dumano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dumano makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dumano.

Dumano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dumano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!


Dumano misses with a takedown attempt

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dumano won't be happy with that.
Dumano is trying to get back to half guard.
Dumano is trying to work for a sweep but Gracie has mounted him!
Dumano keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gracie controlling the position easily from mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dumano is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.
Dumano tries to improve his position but instead Gracie has taken his back!
Dumano is in bad spot here.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Gracie. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

You can see the frustration on Dumano's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Gracie slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dumano manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gracie's guard. Nice work there by Dumano.
Dumano passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie gets back to full guard.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dumano passes Gracie's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dumano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dumano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well.
Dumano has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Dumano's attempts to control the action.
Dumano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Gracie tries to hold on but Dumano postures up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dumano trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gracie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Dumano trying to control but Gracie is having none of it.

Dumano goes for an armbar but Gracie turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gracie.
Dumano wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dumano has his takedown stuffed

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dumano is on top in guard.

Dumano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dumano has Gracie in his guard.
Dumano utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie looking to pass the guard.

Dumano has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gracie is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dumano.

Dumano is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.
Dumano wants to control but Gracie is having none of it.
Dumano holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gracie tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dumano wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Good control from Gracie.

Gracie is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Dumano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dumano is trying to control Gracie's posture. Gracie takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Dumano! Gracie is rotating here... this could be the end... Dumano is out! Gracie has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
