Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noel Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Cisterna!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cisterna but Cisterna pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cisterna fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jackson to the ground. Cisterna is now in Jackson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but Cisterna is having none of it.
Cisterna wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is looking to stand back up but Cisterna counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jackson.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson strikes from the bottom but Cisterna uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Cisterna looks up at the clock and then as Jackson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cisterna smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cisterna tries to advance to mount but can't.

Cisterna tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cisterna has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cisterna is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jackson is pushing Cisterna's head away, looking to escape. Cisterna manages to hold on to the position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Cisterna wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cisterna is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cisterna asserts his dominance and retains side control.
A lull in the action here.
Cisterna has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson trying desperately to get to his feet.
Cisterna tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cisterna raining down shots from the mount!

Cisterna has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson regains half guard.

Cisterna is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Cisterna is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jackson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ryan Cisterna!
A relieved looking Ryan Cisterna thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
