Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cardio Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardio Machine has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kowalski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cardio Machine!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machine shoots in and gets a takedown into Kowalski's guard.
Kowalski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kowalski being controlled here, momentarily.
Machine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Machine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Machine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cardio Machine hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kowalski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Machine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kowalski to the ground. Machine is now in Kowalski's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Machine controlling from the top position.
Machine postures up and lands a big shot to Kowalski's brow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski keeping full guard, as Machine tries to pass.
Machine is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Cardio Machine.

Machine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kowalski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Machine controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cardio Machine hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Machine fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kowalski to the ground. Machine is now in Kowalski's guard.
Machine is stalling in the full guard.
Kowalski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Machine is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski can't keep his opponent in guard - Machine advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Still in half guard, Machine seems content to control.

Machine is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kowalski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Machine with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cardio Machine dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Machine scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Machine advances to mount.
Cardio Machine has got the better of the ground game so far.
Machine controlling the position easily from mount.
Kowalski gets back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, if Machine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cardio Machine was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Machine scores a takedown into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machine cracks Kowalski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Machine controlling the position easily from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski is wriggling around trying to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cardio Machine was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Machine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, if Machine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kowalski tries to roll over but Machine keeps him under control.
Machine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cardio Machine has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Machine moves in looking to clinch but Kowalski pushes him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cardio Machine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Machine shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kowalski napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Machine decides to stand back up. Machine steps back and let's Kowalski get back to his feet.

Machine throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kowalski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Machine is in Kowalski's guard.

Kowalski can't keep his opponent in guard - Machine advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Machine is nestled in close to Kowalski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Machine controlling the pace.

Machine decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Machine shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kowalski is looking to improve his position.
Machine moves nicely into side control.
Machine working the body and head with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machine remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kowalski is looking for a sweep.
Kowalski is being controlled here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Machine tries for a kimura but Kowalski is defending well.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Machine stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Machine shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cardio Machine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Machine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
