Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hank Moody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azumah Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hank Moody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Azumah Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moody takes a swing at Nelson's ribcage but misses.
Moody stuffs the takedown.
Moody takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Moody cracks Nelson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Moody stuffs the takedown.
Nelson keeps the fight on the outside.
Moody connects with a jab.
Nelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moody is fending him off so far but Nelson persists. Nope, Moody circles away and we're back to standing.
Hank Moody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azumah Nelson.
Moody tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nelson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moody misses with a hook
and Nelson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moody sprawls well. Moody wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.
Moody dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Moody shows good takedown defense.

Nelson shoots in but Moody avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nelson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moody swivels and escapes.

Moody has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moody prevents the takedown attempt.
Moody's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Nelson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Nelson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Moody is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Moody lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Moody tries a body shot but Nelson blocks it.
Moody blocks an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moody makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Nelson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Nelson is trying to drag Moody to the mat but Moody just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Nelson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nelson wants a takedown.

Moody stops a takedown attempt from Nelson.
Moody misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Nelson.
Moody is trying to force a seperation but Nelson has the dominant position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Nelson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Moody misses with a hook to the ribs.
Nelson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moody walks away with a smile on his face. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Moody throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson.
Nelson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moody defends it nicely.
Nelson looks gassed!
Nelson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moody.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Moody pushes Nelson up against the cage in a clinch.
Nelson wants a takedown but no success here.
Nelson goes for a takedown attempt but Moody pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nelson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A combination from Moody does no damage.
Nelson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Moody sprawls well. He's pushed Nelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Moody keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hank Moody is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moody lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Moody dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Moody finds it's way through Nelson's defenses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nelson wants to get back to striking at distance but Moody won't allow it.
Nelson is breathing heavily.
Moody throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Nelson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A left hand lands to the body for Moody.

Nelson wants a takedown but no success here.
Nelson tries for a takedown but Moody manages to get underhooks.
Nelson throws a head punch that misses.
Nelson takes a shot to the head.
Moody presses Nelson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Moody is pushing Nelson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Moody gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nelson.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Moody.

Moody keeps control of Nelson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Nelson has Moody pressed against the cage, preventing Moody from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Moody lands with a short shot to the head.
Nice body punch from Moody - that landed with a thud.

Moody tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Moody. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Moody.
