Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddi Zoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoom moves out of range of the strikes.
Ramirez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Zoom moves into range and clinches up with Ramirez.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zoom just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ramirez jumps guard but Zoom stands there with Ramirez around his waist. Ramirez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zoom obliges.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zoom pulls Ramirez into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Buddi Zoom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zoom clinches up with Ramirez and pushes him back against the cage.
Zoom should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but Zoom holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramirez drops back down to his feet.

Zoom has Ramirez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Zoom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ramirez tumbling to the mat - Zoom dives into Ramirez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zoom stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ramirez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Zoom clinches.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zoom obliges.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Zoom works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Zoom missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ramirez is working an open guard so Zoom takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Zoom clinches up against the cage.
Zoom utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Zoom is struggling to control the position.
Ramirez jumps guard but Zoom stands there with Ramirez around his waist. Ramirez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Zoom breaks from the clinch.

Ramirez gets tackled into the cage by Zoom. Zoom maintains the clinch.
Zoom lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ramirez.

Zoom has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ramirez regains guard immediately.
Ramirez has momentary wrist control but Zoom slips an elbow through the middle.

Ramirez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zoom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramirez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Zoom decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ramirez, up you get!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramirez is trying to pull guard but Zoom turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buddi Zoom dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ramirez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zoom has him pressed against the cage.
Zoom lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Zoom manages to break the clinch.

Zoom clinches with his opponent.
Zoom landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Zoom lands a damaging elbow.

Zoom breaks from the clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Zoom.

Zoom has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zoom takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zoom has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Zoom has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ramirez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Zoom gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Buddi Zoom has got the better of the ground game so far.
Zoom throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ramirez!
Zoom lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Can Ramirez hold on?! Zoom is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zoom scores with punches and elbows.

Ramirez is rocked!
Zoom drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Ramirez is in real trouble here! Zoom lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Zoom is delighted!
