Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tanla Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Campbell!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Singh swivels and escapes.
Singh throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Campbell misses with a takedown attempt
and Singh counters with a straight right hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Campbell is defended easily by Singh.
Tanla Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Campbell.

Campbell is trying to get an arm triangle but Singh is defending well.
Singh regains half guard there - taking advantage of Campbell's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Campbell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Singh is looking to control Campbell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Singh avoid being mounted?

Campbell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are battling for position here. Singh manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Campbell goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Singh is on top in guard.

Singh takes a little break here. Campbell wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Campbell is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Singh is controlling him well.

Campbell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Campbell can do anything to dispel that myth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Campbell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Singh has just dragged him back down to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tanla Singh will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Campbell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Singh.
Singh pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Singh misses with a series of wild punches.
Singh motions for Campbell to come forward. Singh throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Singh cracks Campbell with a right hand to the side of the head.
Singh is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

A solid leg kick lands there for Singh.
Campbell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Singh lands a nice looking body shot.
A head kick from Singh lands but Campbell takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Singh circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Campbell drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Singh follows Campbell to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tanla Singh!
After the fight, Tanla Singh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
