PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sack Hitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Alban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alban has chosen Soviet Connection as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alban shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hitch trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hitch doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Alban is working Hitch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Alban has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Alban got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hitch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alban has managed to get both his arms back between Hitch's legs - danger averted.
Hitch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hitch isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alban stacks Hitch on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alban!

Alban looks up at the clock and then as Hitch takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alban smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hitch takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alban advances to mount.
Hitch is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Alban postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hitch looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alban postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Hitch is out cold - huge knockout for Alban!
