Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greek Gyros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sladen Shockner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gyros's entrance music is Greek Gyros. A fine choice. Shockner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: This is the new shit. Greek Gyros has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gyros keeps the fight on the outside.

Gyros tries to score a body lock takedown but Shockner shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Shockner tries to pull guard but Gyros holds him up against the cage and eventually Shockner drops back down to his feet.

Gyros tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shockner swivels and escapes.
Shockner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shockner connects with a nice short shot to Gyros's temple.

Gyros wants to control but Shockner is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Shockner seems content to control.

Shockner uses his free foot to push down on Gyros's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gyros.

Shockner cracks Gyros with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gyros is bucking up trying to escape but Shockner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gyros is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shockner tries to control but Gyros wriggling away.
Shockner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Shockner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gyros is looking to escape.

Shockner landing strikes from the mount and Gyros is in trouble!
Gyros is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gyros wants to hold on but Shockner pushes him away.
Sladen Shockner has got the better of the ground game so far.
Shockner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gyros somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Shockner tries to close the distance and clinch but Gyros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Shockner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shockner wants it to stay on the feet.
Gyros misses with a takedown attempt - Shockner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gyros tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shockner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gyros somewhat.

Sladen Shockner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oh Gyros is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shockner shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Gyros is unconscious as Shockner celebrates over his stricken foe!
