The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Wood takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wood staying out of range there.
Rogers goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rogers tried to score with a low kick but Wood checks it.
Wood scores with a nice body kick.
Rogers is looking to chop away at Wood's legs.
Rogers throws a body punch but Wood moves out of range.
Rogers takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rogers throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rogers cracks Wood with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rogers throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Wood lands with a right hand.

It looks like Saul Rogers has been cut.
Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wood manages to avoid it.
Rogers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jeff Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wood. Rogers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rogers on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Rogers is rocked!
Wood takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can Wood finish him?
Wood throws a leg kick which misses Rogers's front leg but catches the back leg as Rogers tries to avoid it.
Rogers looks gassed!

Wood lands with an uppercut that bounces Rogers off the cage and back into range.
Rogers stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wood.
Wood throws a head kick that misses.
Wood ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Rogers's jaw. Rogers's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Wood does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
