Piper has chosen Real Men Wear Skirts as his entrance music. Roddy Piper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with I Shiv's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Shiv counters with a low kick, right behind Piper 's knee.
Piper lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shiv takes a step back to recover.
Shiv digs a good body shot into Piper's ribs.
Shiv looks to score with a jab to the body but Piper is just out of range.
Shiv lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Piper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shiv pinned against the cage. Shiv gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Piper looks to land a right hand but Shiv moved out of range.

Piper shoots in looking for a takedown. Shiv tries to sprawl out of it but Piper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shiv manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Piper stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Roddy Piper has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Piper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shiv can pounce on him.

Piper's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Shiv is rocked!

Piper shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Piper slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Piper lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
