The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas looks for a takedown but Santos sprawls well.

Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.

Santos 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
