Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gentleman Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce SilvA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ghost comes to the cage accompanied by Castle in the Mist. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SilvA punishes Ghost's body with a nice straight punch.
SilvA thows a body shot but no joy.
Ghost throws a leg kick but SilvA checks it.
Ghost takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ghost lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Royce SilvA seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
SilvA misses with a head kick.
Ghost keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from SilvA.

SilvA misses with a hook. Ghost ducked under it nicely.

Ghost shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches SilvA napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ghost throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

SilvA takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ghost connects with a nice short shot to SilvA's temple.

SilvA walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Ghost cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
SilvA pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ghost is out of range and SilvA settles back down.
Ghost takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
SilvA lands a leg kick that knocks Ghost off balance momentarily.
Ghost takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ghost thuds his shin into the meat of SilvA's side.

Ghost stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from SilvA.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
SilvA sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Ghost ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ghost uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from SilvA.
SilvA has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ghost finds it's way round the side to connect with SilvA's head.

SilvA throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ghost's waist but Ghost gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing SilvA off to one side.

Ghost plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
SilvA takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
SilvA takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ghost fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Ghost closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into SilvA's guard.

SilvA isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ghost stacks SilvA on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ghost!

Ghost looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks SilvA with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ghost accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
