Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Flavius Aetius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bj Becks!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Becks tries to clinch up.
Becks tries to clinch there but Aetius circles away.
Becks wants to clinch up but Aetius keeps it at a distance.
Becks checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Becks throws a shot from downtown. Aetius moves away and avoids it.
Becks scores with a kick to the midsection.
Becks fails with an attempt to clinch.
Becks misses with a two punch combination.
Aetius shoots in and drives through. Becks sprawls well.
Becks throws a right hand that Aetius ducks under and follows up with a left that Aetius also avoids with ease.
The crowd cheers as Becks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Aetius doesn't seem phased though.
Becks tries to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Becks or perhaps it was just good defense by Aetius which made him look bad.
Becks blocks a head kick by Aetius.

Becks tries for a takedown but Aetius sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Becks misses with a left hand
and Aetius counters with a big head kick but Becks shrugs it off.
Becks takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Aetius throws a head kick that misses.
Aetius slips under a jab.
Aetius throws a leg kick but Becks moved away.
Aetius wants to slow Becks down by chopping away at his legs.
A combination from Becks does no damage.
Becks scores with a punch to the head.
Some wild striking there from Becks.
Aetius moves out of range of the body kick from Becks.
Becks throws a head kick that misses

and Aetius counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Becks wants to get back to his feet but Aetius is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Aetius has gone for a leg lock! Becks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Aetius's guard.
Aetius looking to hit a scissor sweep but Becks is one step ahead there.
Becks wants to control from the top but Aetius keeps moving.
Becks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Aetius looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Becks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Becks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Becks stands and throws Aetius's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Aetius stops Becks from passing to mount.
Aetius is looking to regain half guard here but Becks keeps moving and retains side control.
Aetius gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Aetius is not content to let Becks control the position.

Becks working over Aetius with some ground and pound. Aetius looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Becks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aetius's head.

Becks seems to be working for a kimura but Aetius defends the submission attempt.
Aetius wants to get back to full guard.
Becks frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aetius keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Becks throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bj Becks will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Becks blocks the body kick.
Aetius shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Becks tries to close the distance and clinch but Aetius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Becks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aetius paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Aetius closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Aetius prevents Becks from escaping the position.

Aetius wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Becks, who protects the arm well.
Becks is pushing Aetius's head away, looking to escape. Aetius manages to hold on to the position though.
An elbow from Aetius crashes against the mat.
Aetius wants to control but Becks is keeping him busy.
Becks pushes Aetius away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Aetius gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Aetius misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Becks tries to escape but Aetius is in control.

Aetius wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Becks, who protects the arm well.
Aetius is chipping away with strikes.
Flavius Aetius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Aetius landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Aetius is trying to ground and pound but Becks uses the momentary lack of control by Aetius to regain half guard.

Aetius stops Becks from getting back to his feet.
Aetius not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Aetius looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Becks is looking to escape.

Aetius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Becks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aetius.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Becks pushes Aetius off and gets back to his feet.

Becks tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Becks tries a head kick but it misses.
Becks blocks a head kick by Aetius.
Aetius misses with a low kick as Becks jumps back.
Aetius is looking to land body kicks.
Becks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Aetius sprawls well. Aetius wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Becks gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters circle momentarily. Becks darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Becks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aetius's guard.

That's time! Aetius's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Becks looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Becks fails with the takedown.
Becks wants to clinch up but Aetius keeps it at a distance.
Aetius avoids the head kick by Becks.
Aetius throws a leg kick but Becks checks it.

Flavius Aetius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bj Becks.

Aetius jumps guard and drags Becks to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Aetius is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Becks passes Aetius's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Aetius tries to get to full guard but Becks has control of the leg.
Becks not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Becks is thwarting Aetius's attempts to control the position.
Aetius is doing well to control the position and prevent Becks from advancing to side control.
Aetius is pressing down on Becks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Aetius is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Becks is aware though and is defending well.
Aetius wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Becks is now in half guard.
Becks passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Aetius!

Becks wants to control the action but instead Aetius gets a body lock and reverses into Becks's guard! Nice work!

Becks is rocked!
Aetius ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Becks out cold! The fight is over!

Our winner, Flavius Aetius, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
