Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hermanni Holopainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khalifa Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Prodigal Son. Khalifa Khan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holopainen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Khan doesn't seem bothered though.

Khan tries to clinch but Holopainen moves out of range.

Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holopainen tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holopainen to the ground. Holopainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan forces Holopainen back against the cage and clinches.
Khan misses with a punch to the body.
Holopainen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Khan throws a big right hand that misses.
Khan connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan looking to sit in guard and control but Holopainen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan has a closed guard, preventing Holopainen from standing up.

Holopainen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Khan is proving hard to escape from.

Khan digs a right hand underneath Holopainen's ribcage. Holopainen let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Holopainen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khan walks away with a smile on his face. Holopainen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Holopainen avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Holopainen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Holopainen wants to stand but Khan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Khan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Khan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Khan is just content to waste time from the top position. Holopainen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Holopainen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Khan has his hands clasped together but Holopainen extends an breaks Khan's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Holopainen.
