Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Hazard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hewson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hazard might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cult of Personality. Paul Hewson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hewson as he avoids it easily.
Hazard has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed right hand from Hewson misses the target.
Hewson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hazard manages to avoid it.

Hewson controls Hazard momentarily but Hazard frees himself.
Hewson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Paul Hewson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The fighters circling - Hazard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hazard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hewson pinned against the cage. Hewson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Hazard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hewson looks to throw the jab but Hazard is out of range.

Hewson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hazard.
Hewson lands with a good body shot.
Hazard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hazard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hewson.

Hazard is rocked!
Hewson cracks Hazard on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hazard falls backwards against the cage. Hewson follows up with more strikes that drop Hazard to his knees. Hewson keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hazard! This one is all over!
