Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eli Barden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Barden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Stifler !
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barden looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Barden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Barden throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stifler sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Stifler thuds a left hand into Barden's body.
Stifler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Barden darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Stifler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Stifler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Stifler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barden tries to avoid it but Stifler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barden to the ground. Barden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stifler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Stifler ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Stifler does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stifler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barden - the referee stops the clock and Stifler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barden. Stifler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Stifler sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barden, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
