Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilong Ranger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Tiongson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Ilong Ranger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Tiongson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiongson fails with the takedown. Tiongson tries to clinch up but Ranger circles away and keeps his distance. Ranger closes the distance and clinches up with Tiongson, looking for a takedown. Ranger pushes Tiongson against the cage but Tiongson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tiongson looks for a takedown but Ranger sprawls well. Ranger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tiongson tries to clinch but Ranger moves away and Ranger counters by clinching up. Tiongson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ranger closes the distance and clinches up with Tiongson, looking for a takedown. Ranger pushes Tiongson against the cage but Tiongson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tiongson misses with a takedown attempt - Ranger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ilong Ranger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Tiongson. Ranger shoots for a double leg takedown but Tiongson sprawls well. He's pushed Ranger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ranger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tiongson avoids the head kick by Ranger.

Tiongson throws a nice looking combination but Ranger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tiongson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ranger pinned against the cage. Ranger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tiongson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tiongson moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ranger is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tiongson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tiongson is trying to pull guard but Ranger turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Tiongson tries for a takedown. No joy.

It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ranger uses from the top position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ranger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ranger passes Tiongson's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tiongson is pressing down on Ranger's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiongson keeping full guard, as Ranger tries to pass. Tiongson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ranger's guard. Tiongson wants to control from the top but Ranger keeps moving. Tiongson won't allow Ranger to sweep him here. Tiongson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tiongson wants to control from the top but Ranger keeps moving. That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiongson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ranger looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tiongson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tiongson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ranger defending well though. Tiongson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tiongson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Ranger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tiongson avoids it really well and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tiongson shoots in and drives through. Ranger sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiongson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Tiongson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tiongson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiongson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ranger is fending him off so far but Tiongson persists. Nope, Ranger circles away and we're back to standing. Ilong Ranger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ranger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tiongson sprawls well. Tiongson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ranger gets slowly back to his feet. Ranger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tiongson swivels and escapes. The fight stays on the outside here - Tiongson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tiongson fails with the takedown. Ranger shoots in for a takedown but Tiongson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ranger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiongson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ranger keeps the fight on the outside. Tiongson clinches up with Ranger and pushes him back against the cage. Tiongson is defending well against a takedown attempt. A body shot lands from Ranger.
Tiongson pulls guard. Tiongson wants to sweep here but Ranger controlling him for the moment. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tiongson holds on and takes a little breather. Tiongson looking for a guillotine here but Ranger defends easily.

Ranger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tiongson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ranger has managed to get both his arms back between Tiongson's legs - danger averted. Tiongson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tiongson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ranger passes into half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ranger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ranger tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tiongson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Tiongson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Tiongson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ranger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

It looks like Ilong Ranger has been cut. Ranger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Tiongson. No joy for Ranger on that attempt. Ranger tries for a takedown but Tiongson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tiongson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ranger as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Ranger or perhaps it was just good defense by Tiongson which made him look bad. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tiongson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ranger as he jumps to the side.

Tiongson cracks Ranger with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ranger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tiongson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tiongson fails with a takedown attempt. Ranger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tiongson. Tiongson throws a right hand that Ranger ducks under and follows up with a left that Ranger also avoids with ease. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tiongson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ranger - the referee stops the clock and Tiongson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ranger. Tiongson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tiongson tries to clinch but Ranger is having none of it. Ranger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tiongson tries to avoid it but Ranger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tiongson to the ground. Tiongson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiongson closes the distance looking to clinch letting Ranger counter with a right hand. Tiongson throws a half hearted mid kick. Tiongson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ranger tries to avoid it but Tiongson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ranger to the ground. Ranger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tiongson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ranger. Ranger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ranger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ranger has closed the distance and engaged Tiongson in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiongson working Ranger over with knees to the body. Tiongson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Ranger wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tiongson has him pressed against the cage. Tiongson tries to pull guard but Ranger won't allow it.

Ranger is looking to control Tiongson's arms but Tiongson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ranger has his back to the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tiongson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tiongson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ilong Ranger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dave Tiongson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Tiongson takes the fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Tiongson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tiongson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
