Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Clipse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Machin!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clipse slaps away a takedown attempt from Machin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Clipse throws a one two combo.
Clipse wants to clinch.
Clipse tries to clinch up but Machin circles away and keeps his distance.
Clipse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Machin.

Machin has managed to clinch.
Machin managing to block the knees to the body from Clipse.
Clipse lands a knee to the head.
Clipse connects with a nasty looking knee right to Machin's face.
Clipse controlling the action here for a moment.
Clipse throws an elbow that misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clipse but Clipse pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Machin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Clipse to the ground. Machin is now in Clipse's guard.
Machin stands and throws Clipse's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Clipse sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Clipse is looking to control Machin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clipse avoid being mounted?

Clipse is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machin pulls his head out easily.
Machin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Machin wants to free his trapped foot but Clipse is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Clipse tries to get to full guard but Machin has control of the leg.
Machin lands with a punch from half guard.
Machin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Machin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Clipse sees it coming and defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machin is working for a kimura but Clipse is defending it quite comfortably.
Machin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Machin with the ground and pound but Clipse uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Clipse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machin on the ground.
Machin throws an elbow that misses. Clipse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Machin's guard. Nice move by Clipse!

Clipse got a little sloppy there for a moment and Machin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clipse has managed to get both his arms back between Machin's legs - danger averted.

Machin is looking for a triangle here but Clipse uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Clipse has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Machin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Clipse walks away with a smile on his face. Machin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Machin is controlling an arm, preventing Clipse from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Clipse blocks Machin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Machin tries to hold on but Clipse postures up.
Machin can't escape the position.

Clipse looking to control and managing it successfully.
Machin is looking to improve his position but Clipse isn't that keen on the idea.
Clipse controlling the position easily from mount.
Machin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Machin tries to hold on but Clipse postures up.

Machin looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Machin is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Good control from Clipse.
Machin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Machin turns into Clipse and is now in his guard.
