Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Darby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Yelsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Darby might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Real American. Yelsky has chosen WWO - Damy radę as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Darby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Yelsky!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yelsky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Darby avoids it really well and circles away.
Darby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Darby misses with a few strikes there.
Good exchange - Darby coming out on top.
Darby throws out a loose jab but Yelsky uses good head movement to avoid it.
Yelsky shoots in for a double leg but Darby sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Darby scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Darby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Darby fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yelsky on the side of the head.
Darby stuffs the takedown attempt from Yelsky. Yelsky gets slowly back to his feet.
John Darby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Yelsky.
Darby throws a hook to the side of Yelsky's head but Yelsky sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The referee is keeping an eye on Darby - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Yelsky is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Darby is defending well for now.

Darby wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yelsky has him pressed against the cage.

John Darby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

enabling Yelsky to counter with a crisp jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yelsky gets tackled into the cage by Darby. Darby maintains the clinch.
Darby struggles to land a body shot inside as Yelsky controls his hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Darby dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Yelsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Darby but Darby pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Andrew Yelsky has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Darby cracks Yelsky with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Darby takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Darby throws a series of punches but Yelsky moves out of range.

Yelsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Darby sprawls well. He's pushed Yelsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Darby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Darby will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Darby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

John Darby really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Inner Beast Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
