Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Trap Door. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okita swats away the attempt to clinch by Mendez.
Mendez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okita sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mendez somewhat.
Okita tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendez was well out of range. Poor timing from Okita.
Mendez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tiago Mendez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mendez shoots in and drives through. Okita sprawls well.
Mendez tries to clinch but Okita moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mendez.

Mendez is really struggling to control Okita but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mendez is fighting to break Okita's control of his arms but Okita is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Okita cracks Mendez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheers as Okita lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mendez doesn't seem phased though.

Okita keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mendez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Okita swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Okita is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mendez rather than just go for the knockout.

Mendez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Okita tries to avoid it but Mendez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Okita to the ground. Okita escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Okita seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mendez is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Mikio Okita really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Crippler's Corner logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
