Grozni is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Миша Маваши - &. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
FM tries to clinch up.

FM throws a right hand that Grozni ducks under and follows up with a left that Grozni also avoids with ease.

Grozni connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Grozni cracks FM with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

FM fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grozni manages to avoid it.
FM tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Grozni manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
FM misses with a low kick.

Grozni looks to score with a jab to the body but FM is just out of range.

Grozni lunges at FM with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by FM's hand.
FM closes the distance but Grozni moves to the side
and FM takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

FM darts in trying to clinch
and Grozni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

FM is rocked!
Grozni is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! FM had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Oh FM is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ivan Grozni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
