Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Kaike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Grazie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Kaike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dom Grazie!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grazie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kaike sprawls well initially but Grazie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Grazie prevents Kaike from improving his position.
Kaike is trying to maintain the position but Grazie is very close to passing his half guard.
Grazie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grazie wants to pass to mount but Kaike is defending the position.
Kaike is pressing down on Grazie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Grazie throws an elbow that misses. Kaike uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Grazie's guard. Nice move by Kaike!
Kaike engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Grazie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Grazie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kaike has picked Grazie up and slammed him! Grazie can't keep hold of the triangle and Kaike manages to pass to side control!

Grazie regains half guard, as Kaike was trying to land strikes.
Grazie wants to improve his position but Kaike is controlling well.

Grazie is staying active underneath Kaike, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carlos Kaike.
A head kick misses from Kaike.

Grazie tries to keep at a distance but Kaike has taken the fight into the clinch.

Grazie manages to break the clinch.

Grazie closes the distance and pushes Kaike back into the cage.
Kaike swings wildly with an uppercut but Grazie uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kaike has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Grazie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kaike tries to pull guard but Grazie forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Kaike has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Grazie uses from the top position.
Grazie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Grazie wants to control from the top but Kaike keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Grazie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaike swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kaike looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grazie is one step ahead there.

Grazie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kaike is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Grazie, into his guard.

Grazie is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Kaike stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Grazie throws a shot to the body.
Kaike shoots for a takedown but Grazie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Kaike. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grazie shoots in for a takedown but Kaike shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Kaike will probably get the nod.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grazie is defended easily by Kaike.
Kaike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kaike fails with the takedown.

Kaike moves into the clinch.
Kaike really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Grazie manages to break the clinch.

Grazie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kaike manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Grazie wants to control from the top but Kaike keeps moving.
Kaike looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Grazie is pushing down on Kaike's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kaike is fighting to maintain full guard but Grazie has managed to sneak the leg through.

Grazie stops Kaike from getting back to his feet.

Grazie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kaike doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Grazie.

Grazie wants to stand up but Kaike has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Kaike flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kaike is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Grazie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Grazie's back!

Kaike is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Grazie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Grazie manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kaike's guard. Nice work there by Grazie.
Kaike is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Grazie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kaike has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grazie has managed to get both his arms back between Kaike's legs - danger averted.

We're going to have a standup here because Carlos Kaike wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlos Kaike will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Grazie moves into range and clinches up with Kaike.
Kaike is trying to pull guard but Grazie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kaike tries to score a body lock takedown but Grazie shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Grazie gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Grazie wants to control the position but Kaike says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Grazie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kaike scores with a couple of nice shots.
Grazie moves into full guard.

Grazie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaike doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Grazie is tightening it up a little... Kaike has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kaike reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kaike taps out! Nice BJJ there by Grazie!
