The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fraiser is trying hard to land a takedown here. Challis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Challis throws a shot from downtown. Fraiser moves away and avoids it.
An inside leg kick lands from Challis.
Collin Challis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fraiser fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Challis slaps away a takedown attempt from Fraiser, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Collin Challis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Fraiser.

Fraiser closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fraiser seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Challis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fraiser is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Challis sees it coming and defends easily.
Challis is looking to escape.

Fraiser wants to take a breather but Challis is having none of it.

Fraiser is looking for a kimura here.
Fraiser trying to mount his opponent but Challis defends it.
Challis is looking to improve his position.
Challis gets full guard.
Fraiser looking to pass the guard.
Challis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fraiser on the ground.

Fraiser is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Challis is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Challis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fraiser shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Challis as he jumps to the side.
Challis clobbers Fraiser with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fraiser shoots in for a takedown but Challis shows good takedown defense.
Challis lands a high kick!
Challis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Challis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Horrible takedown by Fraiser or perhaps it was just good defense by Challis which made him look bad.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fraiser ducks right into an uppercut from Challis.

Challis stuns Fraiser with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Challis lands a head kick!
A cross from Challis lands.
A nice inside leg kick there by Challis. That's going to slow Fraiser down.
Challis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fraiser takes a step back to recover.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fraiser.
Challis throws a sloppy head kick and Fraiser moves out of range easily.

Fraiser feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Challis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Challis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fraiser is looking to escape.

Fraiser is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Challis stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
A swing and a miss from Challis.
Fraiser shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Challis defends it nicely.

Fraiser decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Collin Challis will probably get the nod.

Challis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fraiser. That did some damage!
Tim Fraiser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Challis connects with a high kick.
Fraiser throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Challis's waist but Challis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fraiser off to one side.
Fraiser will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fraiser takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Fraiser on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Challis. Challis obviously looking to wear him down.
Fraiser moves out of range of the strikes.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fraiser crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Challis - the referee stops the clock and Fraiser gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Challis. Fraiser manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Nice straight punches there by Challis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Challis.

Fraiser shoots in looking for a takedown but Challis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fraiser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fraiser changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Challis tries to avoid it but Fraiser manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Challis to the ground. Challis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Challis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fraiser's head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Challis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
