And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Mullen!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mullen circles away quickly and effectively.
Randy Best seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mullen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Best scores with a three punch combo!
Mullen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Best misses with a two punch combination.

Oooooh!!! Best has knocked Mullen down with a huge combo! Best steps away and waves a wobbly Mullen back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Paul Mullen has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Mullen or perhaps it was just good defense by Best which made him look bad.

Mullen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Best regains guard immediately.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Best on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Best tries to get out of the position.
Mullen tries to free his leg and advance position but Best is retaining full guard.

Mullen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Mullen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Best prevents it.
Best is trying to push Mullen away but Mullen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Best looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Best trying to stall but Mullen improves his position.
Mullen wants to take the fight to the mat but Best manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Mullen keeps control of Best as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Best lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Sloppy strikes from Best. Those never looked like landing.
Mullen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Best.
Best really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Best feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mullens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Best lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Mullen is trying to drag Best to the mat but Best just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mullen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Best smiles and moves away.
