Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stone Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerard Mousasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby lands with a hook. Mousasi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mousasi has a takedown stuffed.
Kirby fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mousasi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kirby avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kirby circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kirby scoring well with a low kick there.
Mousasi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kirby throws a leg kick which misses Mousasi's front leg but catches the back leg as Mousasi tries to avoid it.

Mousasi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mousasi shoots in for a takedown but Kirby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mousasi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Mousasi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kirby throws a leg kick which misses Mousasi's front leg but catches the back leg as Mousasi tries to avoid it.
Mousasi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kirby.

Mousasi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kirby uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Mousasi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kirby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kirby buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kirby scoring well with a low kick there.
Kirby moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kirby lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kirby swats away the attempt to clinch by Mousasi.
Mousasi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kirby's waist but Kirby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mousasi off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerard Mousasi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mousasi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kirby throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mousasi on the side of the head.
Kirby is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mousasi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Mousasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kirby tries to avoid it but Mousasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kirby to the ground. Kirby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kirby goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kirby throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kirby scores with a head kick. Mousasi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Mousasi takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mousasi is looking to clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mousasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kirby tries to avoid it but Mousasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kirby to the ground. Kirby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mousasi walks into a straight right hand from Kirby.
Mousasi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stone Kirby dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kirby throws a nice looking combination but Mousasi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mousasi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Kirby fakes the leg kick and cracks Mousasi in the body.
Stone Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mousasi tries to clinch up but Kirby circles away and keeps his distance.
Kirby scores with a hook to the body. Mousasi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mousasi looks to clinch
and Kirby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mousasi moves in looking to clinch but Kirby pushes him off.
Mousasi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mousasi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mousasi forces Kirby back against the cage and clinches.
Kirby is trying to break the clinch but Mousasi is controlling him.
Mousasi takes an elbow to the temple.

Mousasi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mousasi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gerard Mousasi's cut is getting worse.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kirby.
Mousasi tries to clinch up but Kirby circles away and keeps his distance.
Kirby's corner calls for a 1-2. Kirby obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kirby lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kirby.
Mousasi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kirby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kirby throws a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mousasi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kirby.
Kirby lands a big head kick that sends Mousasi to the canvas! Kirby follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
