Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Boshesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Pilgrim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilgrim connects with a nice looking jab.
Pilgrim scores with a punch to the head.
Boshesh shoots in looking for a takedown but Pilgrim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boshesh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boshesh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Boshesh is looking to work some ground and pound but Pilgrim has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boshesh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boshesh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pilgrim looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pilgrim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pilgrim tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Boshesh wants to improve his position but Pilgrim is controlling well.

Boshesh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pilgrim is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Billy Pilgrim was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Pilgrim scores with the left hand. Boshesh knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Kim Boshesh has been cut.

No luck for Boshesh with that takedown attempt.
Pilgrim lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Boshesh at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pilgrim, right into the meat.
Boshesh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pilgrim as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Boshesh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boshesh closes the distance and clinches up with Pilgrim, looking for a takedown. Boshesh pushes Pilgrim against the cage but Pilgrim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pilgrim comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pilgrim lands with a good body shot.

Boshesh on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Pilgrim feints and then cracks Boshesh's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Boshesh down.
Boshesh is breathing heavily.

Pilgrim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pilgrim scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boshesh doesn't seem bothered though.
Pilgrim scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Pilgrim throws a combination. Boshesh tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pilgrim works Boshesh's body with a nice hook.
Pilgrim connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Boshesh throws a wild hook but Pilgrim just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Boshesh gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Pilgrim raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Pilgrim!
Billy Pilgrim bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
