Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick van Greeven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Greeven comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Waits - Telephone call from Istanbul. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Greeven blocks a head kick by Quik.
Quik slips a jab from van Greeven.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Quik looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Quik looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Quik is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A looping hook to the body misses from van Greeven. Quik does a little dance to reset his feet.

van Greeven lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Quik looks to land a combination but van Greeven avoids it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

van Greeven tries to score with some ground and pound. Quik controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
van Greeven connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Quik some visible discomfort.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, van Greeven cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Quik is trying to control van Greeven's posture but van Greeven avoids it.
Quik takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
van Greeven throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Quik works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
van Greeven lands a big elbow - Quik is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for van Greeven!
