I think Vitonen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Klamydia - Junttihinttirunkkari. Mir has chosen Spoilin For A Fight as his entrance music. Frank Mir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitonen throws a series of punches but Mir moves out of range.
Vitonen misses with an uppercut
and Mir counters with a two punch combo.
Vitonen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mir under the eye.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Vitonen swings for the body but Mir moves out of range.
A shot to the liver by Vitonen. Beautiful body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vitonen throws a looping overhand right but Mir ducks down to avoid it.
Vitonen misses with a two punch combination.
Vitonen clobbers Mir with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Vitonen lands a nice hook to Mir's body. Mir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vitonen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vitonen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

That has opened up Frank Mir's cut even more.
Mir takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nahka Vitonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vitonen throws a nice outside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mir looks gassed!
Vitonen misses with a body shot.
Vitonen cracks Mir with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Vitonen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mir blocks the body kick.
A big right from Vitonen misses.
Vitonen throws a right and a left that Mir avoids nicely.
Mir defending well as Vitonen loads up on a big left hand.
Vitonen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mir momentarily.

The cut above Frank Mir's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Vitonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vitonen lands with an overhand left.

Frank Mir's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Vitonen lands a nice shot to the body.
Vitonen defending well as Mir loads up on a big left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vitonen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vitonen misses with a straight left.
Vitonen lands the left hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Mir's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
